Just making an announcement about how we are testing a new puck feel for season 2 of PPHL in NA Official and NA PUG servers, nothing currently is finalized and these tests are being done in the first place to further find the right "feel" of the puck!

The wait is over. The website signup portals are fully native, operational, and ready for action.
Whether you are looking to grind as a player or lead a squad as a captain, here is everything
you need to know about the format, timeline, rules, and expectations for the upcoming season.
To ensure a highly competitive, balanced, and stable environment for our staff and community,
Season 2 will feature a 100% uniform 5v5 format across all divisions.
While our ultimate goal remains transitioning to a 6v6 format to simulate real hockey, running
6v6 on the current under-scaled ice compromises competitive balance, clogs lanes, and relies
too heavily on chaotic bounces. The league will execute a full, league-wide transition to 6v6 in
the future once the larger ice mod is finalized and fully stable.
We are operating on a flexible, relative weekly structure to keep things running smoothly:
● Weeks 1-2: Registration forms are officially open to the community on the website.
Vetting of captain applicants begins.
● Week 3 (Mid-Week): The Combine player showcases go live in dedicated, staff-hosted
public lobbies.
● Week 3 (Weekend): Registration closes, final team counts are locked, and the Season 2
Draft execution begins.
● Weeks 4-8: The Regular Season official schedule goes live on a fixed weekly grid.
● Week 9+: Post-season tournament bracket kicks off based on final regular-season
standings.
To help you plan your availability, games will run on a fixed weekly grid from 7:00 PM to 9:00
PM EST. The division schedules are structured as follows and will be subject to change given
the amount of signups for Season 2:
● Challenger Division (Div 2): Matches will be played on Thursdays and Saturdays.
● Premier Division (Div 1): Matches will be played on Fridays and Sundays.
● Format: Regular season matches follow a Double Round-Robin structure where every
team plays each other exactly twice.
● Playoffs: Post-season matches will run a Best of 3 (Bo3) series for Quarter/Semifinals,
culminating in a Best of 5 (Bo5) Grand Finals series.
We have completely ditched external Google Forms. Signups are now entirely handled natively
on our website.

1. Log in via Steam to sync your player metrics and verify roster eligibility.
2. Link your Discord account so captains and league staff can easily coordinate drafts
and match times.
3. Use the new form tabs to seamlessly switch between the Player Pool Sign-Up and the
Captain Application. You can resubmit at any time to dynamically update your position
or availability.
When submitting your application, you will choose how you want to market yourself to team
captains:
● Preferred Position: Select a specific primary role if you
want to anchor that spot. Captains will draft you with the expectation that you primarily
play that position on the ice.
● Signing Up as a Flex: Selecting a flex option (Any Skater or Any) signals that you are
a versatile utility asset. You are telling captains you will gladly slot in wherever the team
needs you on any given night to cover an absence, adjust to a line strategy, or maximize
your playtime.
We are still hunting for dedicated community members to help us scale league operations, spice
up broadcasts, and expand our media coverage. If you have experience or interest in league
administration, streaming, casting/commentary, or graphic design, please let us know! We are
looking for streamers in particular, if that interests you we encourage you to sign up!

We know everyone has been eagerly waiting for the Season 2 signup portals to open up today. However, due to some sudden, unforeseen circumstances behind the scenes, we need to delay the official release by just a bit.

The website sign-up forms will officially open tomorrow.

Please rest assured that the staff and development teams are actively working through everything right now. We want to ensure that the moment you log in with Steam, link your Discord, and submit your applications, the system handles the intake flawlessly.

We will be releasing signups shortly, here is what you need to know!

1. The New Puck
Firstly we want to test out a different puck before the season starts, we will be having plenty of testers and testing done with players that have signed up and will play in the league to ensure this puck meets all of our expectations. Testing will not be done in combines, as combines will be used to showcase players skills and synergy on the expected build for the season.

2. Player Pool Eligibility & Character Standards
We are moving away from mandatory combine participation for eligibility, please be aware that the league retains the right to reject applications to the player pool. Participation in the PPHL is a privilege, and we prioritize members who are active participants within the PoncePuck community (servers, Discord, etc.). Furthermore, we evaluate every applicant based on judgment of character—ensuring a competitive and positive environment is our top priority. If you not an active member of the community in any way, your signup will more than likely be rejected.

3. Combines
As mentioned, combines are not required to be eligible for the draft. However, we strongly encourage everyone to participate in combines and PUGs. This is your best opportunity to get your name out there, showcase your skills to captains, and provide feedback on our new puck testing.

4. Mod List Freeze
To ensure a stable and consistent testing environment, please note that the server mod list will be officially frozen once combines begin. All testing and feedback should be prioritized before this cutoff to ensure the final build meets the league's standards.

5. Join the Team!
We are still looking for dedicated volunteers to help us scale the league. If you have experience in league staff, streaming, commentating, or graphic design, please fill out the form below.
