The wait is over. The website signup portals are fully native, operational, and ready for action.
Whether you are looking to grind as a player or lead a squad as a captain, here is everything
you need to know about the format, timeline, rules, and expectations for the upcoming season.
To ensure a highly competitive, balanced, and stable environment for our staff and community,
Season 2 will feature a 100% uniform 5v5 format across all divisions.
While our ultimate goal remains transitioning to a 6v6 format to simulate real hockey, running
6v6 on the current under-scaled ice compromises competitive balance, clogs lanes, and relies
too heavily on chaotic bounces. The league will execute a full, league-wide transition to 6v6 in
the future once the larger ice mod is finalized and fully stable.
We are operating on a flexible, relative weekly structure to keep things running smoothly:
● Weeks 1-2: Registration forms are officially open to the community on the website.
Vetting of captain applicants begins.
● Week 3 (Mid-Week): The Combine player showcases go live in dedicated, staff-hosted
public lobbies.
● Week 3 (Weekend): Registration closes, final team counts are locked, and the Season 2
Draft execution begins.
● Weeks 4-8: The Regular Season official schedule goes live on a fixed weekly grid.
● Week 9+: Post-season tournament bracket kicks off based on final regular-season
standings.
To help you plan your availability, games will run on a fixed weekly grid from 7:00 PM to 9:00
PM EST. The division schedules are structured as follows and will be subject to change given
the amount of signups for Season 2:
● Challenger Division (Div 2): Matches will be played on Thursdays and Saturdays.
● Premier Division (Div 1): Matches will be played on Fridays and Sundays.
● Format: Regular season matches follow a Double Round-Robin structure where every
team plays each other exactly twice.
● Playoffs: Post-season matches will run a Best of 3 (Bo3) series for Quarter/Semifinals,
culminating in a Best of 5 (Bo5) Grand Finals series.
We have completely ditched external Google Forms. Signups are now entirely handled natively
on our website.

When submitting your application, you will choose how you want to market yourself to team
captains:
● Preferred Position: Select a specific primary role if you
want to anchor that spot. Captains will draft you with the expectation that you primarily
play that position on the ice.
● Signing Up as a Flex: Selecting a flex option (Any Skater or Any) signals that you are
a versatile utility asset. You are telling captains you will gladly slot in wherever the team
needs you on any given night to cover an absence, adjust to a line strategy, or maximize
your playtime.

With Season 2 preparation officially underway, our primary focus is launching a stable, competitive season. We are on track to roll out the league within the month!

To ensure a smooth launch and a unified identity, Season 2 will be played entirely in a uniform 5v5 format across all divisions.

Format Clarifications
There has been speculation about splitting the league into 5v5 and 6v6 divisions (e.g., Premier vs. Challenger). To set the record straight: this was a brainstorming concept, not an agreed-upon plan.

Splitting formats right now would strain our new staff and fragment the player base. We are committed to a uniform structure, which will eventually allow Premier teams to field sister teams in the lower divisions.

The Roadmap to 6v6

We will be releasing signups shortly, here is what you need to know!

1. The New Puck
Firstly we want to test out a different puck before the season starts, we will be having plenty of testers and testing done with players that have signed up and will play in the league to ensure this puck meets all of our expectations. Testing will not be done in combines, as combines will be used to showcase players skills and synergy on the expected build for the season.

2. Player Pool Eligibility & Character Standards
We are moving away from mandatory combine participation for eligibility, please be aware that the league retains the right to reject applications to the player pool. Participation in the PPHL is a privilege, and we prioritize members who are active participants within the PoncePuck community (servers, Discord, etc.). Furthermore, we evaluate every applicant based on judgment of character—ensuring a competitive and positive environment is our top priority. If you not an active member of the community in any way, your signup will more than likely be rejected.

3. Combines
As mentioned, combines are not required to be eligible for the draft. However, we strongly encourage everyone to participate in combines and PUGs. This is your best opportunity to get your name out there, showcase your skills to captains, and provide feedback on our new puck testing.

4. Mod List Freeze
To ensure a stable and consistent testing environment, please note that the server mod list will be officially frozen once combines begin. All testing and feedback should be prioritized before this cutoff to ensure the final build meets the league's standards.

5. Join the Team!
We are still looking for dedicated volunteers to help us scale the league. If you have experience in league staff, streaming, commentating, or graphic design, please fill out the form below.

Hope you all are doing well as we start looking forward to season 2 of the PPHL!

I just wanted to make a quick announcement to give a sort of heads up on the recent lack of movement towards the league.

1st of all we have been waiting to hear what this new update GAF is launching would do to a lot of our mods. We heard talks of a bigger rink would be added, shootouts built by GAF himself, and so much more. But unfortunately it doesn't look like they are being implemented as fast as we thought or at all. With this we will look to see if it is worth still waiting for this massive update or if we should push out some sort of small season in the meantime.

However on the bright side most of our mods have been transferring over to the new update pretty seamlessly. We have had a few issues with some so far but in the large scheme of things it has been going smooth.

All we ask for you guys right now is to sit tight while we get more updates from this update GAF is releasing.

In the meantime I would encourage you all to fill out the PPHL survey in the message right above this one! We will be using all this input to move forward with the league and it is not too late to fill out the form!

I once again want to thank all of you for your patience as we try to work out a few of the kinks we had from season 1 and this new update to make sure season 2 runs as smoothly as possible!

Everyone congratulate our Challenger Division Champions the @role! Completing the clean 🧹 of the Detroit Venom 4 - 0 for the Challenger League Title!

The Challenger Division has been witness to a single team that has gone far and above their competition this year. The @role finished off the season with a +37 Goal Differential, the only team bearing double digit Regulation Wins (14) and only a single Regulation Loss. @Troutman without a doubt has put together a group of guys that were completely unstoppable from top to bottom and in all phases of play.

@Pac & @superxander, alone in these playoffs put up enough goals, assists, and points that they would be placed on the regular season top 10 leaderboard. Pac with 18 Points between 8 goals and 10 Assists would put him 9th for Points, and 3rd! for Assists. While Xander's 11 Playoff Goals would put him 9th on the Regular Season Goals Leaderboard.

and to leave out the Goaltenders, the dual threat option of both @Troutman & @kicks would be a crime. Both of them combining for 5 Shutouts over 8 games and an astounding perfect Sv% for Troutman for his two games, and a .923% over 6 games for Kicks. An undeniable domination of opposing shooters.

The sheer and utter obliteration is not something that I suspect we will ever see again. The Uncs pulled out all their wisdom to take the Crown as PPHL Challenger Season 1 Champions!

With a 4 - 1 Series Finale, The @role have defeated the Montauk Mariners to claim the Season 1 PPHL Premier League Title!

It's been a long season, we've had the chance to watch the best of the best duke it out in the PPHL, @Razepage one of the OG Ponce Players has put together a team that can truly be considered champions. The blood, sweat, and tears this team shed has been like no other, the teamwork, camaraderie, and raw skill put on display throughout the season is proven unmatched.

In this thrilling finale we were witness to an unstoppable wall in the Boston Bullets goaltender @Hecow who led the Playoffs in Sv% at a .881% and put up a .893% in the finals alone while nearly running a 3 game scoreless set to finish out the series and the Leading Playoff Goal-Scorer @jurkey who put away 7 Goals in these last 5 matches, with 2 OT GWGs!

Do you LOVE being able to watch your favorite PPHL team's games get streamed?
Well I do too! However we're in a streamer shortage!

So far we've mainly relied on a single streamer to carry the very large load of games that we're asking him to stream because of this defecit.

• Anybody who's interested in getting into streaming for PPHL please go into #📝・pphl-forms and apply or just straight up DM me!

We're always looking for more streamers and production members to help out, but in order to have our games streamed we do need more streamers.

Hello PPHL players! We are in the process of putting together our stats sheet, and would appreciate if all rostered players were to respond to this form to provide some basic info that will help us with this.

This form is also incredibly important for challenger players who may wish to sign to a premier team this season. Challenger players may opt in, or opt out, of the premier division free agent pool. The deadline to do this will be at 12 AM EST on Tuesday, December 23. A non response to this form will be considered an "opt out" response. If you are in challenger division, and are interested in playing in both premier, and challenger division, you must fill out this form by the deadline!

There is also an optional final section to provide some basic feedback on some gameplay related items, such as puck speed, puck weight, and a minor change that could be made to icing. This form will also be available in #📝・pphl-forms

• Our master sheet will be officially released to the public following the incorporation of our current stats from this weeks premier games.
• We are always looking for more streamers / commentators! If you would like to get involved, please let @vxpr know!
• We will try to ensure that ads on twitch are manually ran if possible in the future, and don't come at obnoxious times on future streams, as we are unable to disable them and have the minimum selected amount currently running.

🔮 Challenger Draft Lottery - Stay tuned through the end of the draft, as we'll also be holding the draft lottery for Challenger Division right after the Premier Draft concludes!

Some Major Announcements Prior to This:

🛠️ Game Config - We will be playing PPHL games on a config similar to our current PUG config. The minor details of this config may change slightly prior to the start of the season as our rink devs work hard to ensure the best possible build, though the overall feel shouldn't change drastically.

✅ Eligibility Finalized - Thank you to all applicants! Our eligibility has now been finalized through both drafts. If you're unsure whether or not you're eligible, please view #📝・pphl-forms and find your name in the public draft pool sheet.

If you have any concerns, or questions about your eligibility, such as believing you should be eligible, changing your in game name/position, or are wanting to withdraw your application from the draft pool, please open a ticket ASAP!

📜 Draft Procedures - Each Team will have 2 minutes per pick to select a player. There are 9 rounds in the draft. Teams must roster a minimum of 8 players and a maximum of 10 players. This total must include at least 2 players who are goaltenders.

If a player is selected, and is inactive, or refuses to play, they will receive a season long suspension from the PPHL.

🏒 Challenger Division Combine- If you are not selected in the premier division draft, you'll have the chance to play in a final combine to impress challenger managers prior to the challenger division draft. Details on this will be shared in the days following the Premier Division Draft.

Here is our last official combine before our Premier draft. It is once again being held at 7:30 est. Please use this form to signup for the combine otherwise it is very hard to get some of you guys in the right positions for games. I will once again be prioritizing ineligible people so I am sorry if some of you do not get a game.

We will also likely be holding the draft lottery before the combines so be ready for that.

Due to some people still needing some elgibility and some managers not being able to make the draft work on our planned dates we are going to push it back to sometime around next weekend. This won't mess up scheduling at all as it still sets our first game week to be the weekend after thanksgiving (December 5th). We will have a combine most likely this Sunday and people who are not eligible yet will have top priority. Anyone else still can and is encouraged to sign up as well

I am here to answer some of our recent questions and try and set up a schedule for our future in this league

Keep in mind these could be subject to change and are not set in stone. I will update you all with new information as soon as I receive it

Currently we are headed to our drafting phase which for the premier division will hopefully take place Friday 11/14
After that I would like to host a combine this Saturday for all the players who do not get drafted to the premier division 11/15
Once that is done we will have the challenger division do their draft on either Sunday or Monday 11/16-17
We will then have about about two weeks of preseason as the first week of games would fall under American Thanksgiving

Game schedules will be as follows
Premier: Games Friday and Sunday at 7:30 est - around 9:00 est
Challenger: Games Saturday and Monday at 7:30 est - around 9:00 est
